Circling Australia - a Stock Photographer's Travels - 2012

The above map, made by me, shows the completed route of my circular journey, plus some up and down bits, around and across Australia via road and rail in 2012. The total distance travelled in Australia is estimated to be about 32,000 km: that's the equivalent of more than 3/4 of the way around the earth.

I especially enjoyed travelling on Australia's long distance trains, such as the Indian Pacific, the Ghan, and the Overland. There are some very good deals available for foreigners on these trains, so if you are a visitor to Australia, I'd encourage you to see what's available. I have written a series of articles all about travel on these amazing rail journeys - I hope you find them useful. Don't forget to buy a YHA card too, for 10% off Greyhound coach passes, and discounts at many hostels.

Many other stock travel photographs were taken on this epic journey, and the cream of them will eventually appear on this website. If you need any particular imagery, please contact me.
